$$ 24x^2+2x-15=0 $$

$$ 24x^2+20x-18x-15=0 $$

$$ 4x(6x+5)-3(6x+5)=0 $$

$$ (6x+5)(4x-3)=0 $$

We can write this as

$$ (6x+5)=0\quad,\quad (4x-3)=0 $$

$$ 6x=-5\quad,\quad 4x=3 $$

$$ x=\frac{-5}{6}\quad,\quad x=\frac{3}{4} $$

From these two solutions of above equation we can clearly tell that 3/5 is greater than -5/6.
