    and we have to find the sum of roots. As we know that

    Sum  of  roots=−{b}{a}Sum\; of\; roots=-\frac\{b\}\{a\}
    ∴Sum  of  roots=−{(−4)}{1}=4\therefore Sum\; of\; roots=-\frac\{(-4)\}\{1\}=4
